4.2.5.2     Edit Server - Location

Figure 4.2.5.1.A     Edit Server - Profile

This screen gives options to set which machine the server is running on (if applicable) and also to set the status of the server.

In addition to deciding which profile is running on a server, you may also have the option of moving it physically to another machine. The only time you are likely to have this option is if you are a Dedicated Server customer renting multiple machines. If this is the case, then you can move around your game server processes to get the most out of your machines.

  1. Machine
This drop-down bar shows the available machines you can move this server to. In most cases only one machine will show, i.e. the machine it is currently allocated to.

  2. Active
Use this drop-down to select the state you would like to set on your server:
    • Yes - set the server as active. If it is stopped, this will start it.
    • No - set the server to stopped. It it is running, this will stop it.
    • Restart - restarts the server if it is running, or starts it if it is not.
    • Auto-Restart - Slightly different to the 3 options above, any future changes you make to your server will cause your server to restart automatically (upon clicking save) so that you don't have to restart it manually after making any changes.

  3. Save
Clicking this button will cause any changes made in the Profile and Location tabs to be applied to your server.

  4. Cancel
Clicking the cancel button will abandon any changes you have started to make on your server. The screen will refresh and everything will be as it was when you started editing.
