Figure 4.1.A     The News Page

This screen will be displayed automatically whenever you log in to ClanForge. Although it is the least interactive of all the ClanForge™ screens, it is no less important. We will frequently use this page to keep you informed of any new games we have installed as well as new patches, mods, new ClanForge™ features or anything else we consider to be a major announcement, including announcements concerning down times and server stability issues.

We recommend you always check this page for anything new every time you log in.

  1. Services List
Most customers will only have one selectable account service from this drop down list. However, some of you will have access to more than one. Simply select the one you want to work with from the list and the interface will refresh to show information on servers associated with that account.

  2. The External Links Bar
Here you will find links to other key Multiplay sites:
    • Clanforge Home - brings you back to the Clanforge home page
    • Servers - takes you to the complete server list for Multiplay public servers.
    • Downloads - the web interface to the Multiplay file server.
    • LAN's - find out about Multiplay's forthcoming LAN party events.
    • Dedicated servers - takes you to the information page on our dedicated server packages.
    • Clanservers - takes you to the buy page for our Clanserver services.
    • Forums - head to the main Multiplay forums to chat with like-minded gamers.
    • Logout - logs you out of Clanforge. This is essential if you are using a public computer.

  3. The ClanForge™ Navigation Menu
Click on the relevant tab (e.g. Profiles) to go to the relevant ClanForge™ screen. These sections are briefly described below:
    • News - The default screen when you first log into ClanForge. This page shows all the latest ClanForge™ related news.
    • Servers - Directly control your servers. Start or stop servers, change profiles, view stats and use Live Control from within this section.
    • Machines - This option will only appear for Dedicated Server customers. It takes you to a section of ClanForge™ where you can add and remove server processes, manage your installed games and see key statistics about your machine(s).
    • Profiles - This is where you manage the profiles for your servers. A profile consists of all the settings needed to configure a server, such as the config files, applied mods and maplist(s). Unlike the previous version of ClanForge™, this is no longer where you change profiles on a given server. That has now been moved to the Servers page.
    • Files - Here you can access the file interface. Preview and download your screen shots, logs and demos. Upload new maps and mods for adding to the system.
    • Account - Information on the renewal date of your server. Add and remove users from your ClanForge™ account.
    • Help - Stuck on something? Try our online FAQ's and user forums for help. If you still need help, submit a support ticket.
