Figure 4.2.1.A Details Expanded |
- Hide
Click here to hide the server details you just expanded. This is a common feature that shouldn't need explaining again.
- Server Name
This is the server name. The name displayed here is generated from query to the server itself, and not taken from the profile, so this is exactly how it will appear in the gamespy, ASE and in game server lists.
- Game / Mod
Shows the game and mod the server is running. In this instance, mod is taken to mean the kind of mods that are installed as a full conversion of the game (in their own folder).
- Profile
This shows the name of the profile the server is currently running. Profiles are covered in more depth in their own section of this guide.
- Address
Reports the server address and port number. If you have URLGameStarter installed, you can also launch directly into the game by clicking on the link. If you don't have URLGameStarter installed, clicking on this link will take you to a page with an error.
- Query / Admin Port
This shows the Query and Admin ports of the server respectively. The query port is usually the Gamespy query port of the server. The admin port is the port which remote console connects to. You will only need to worry about these values if you run 3rd party programs which carry out rcon or querying functions, such as HLSW. These values are particularly important to BF1942/BFV server admins who use 3rd party remote server managers.
- Machine
Reports the name of the machine your server is on. This is a 'friendly' name that we have assigned to all our boxes so that we can identify them easily. Its not critical you know this, but it is helpful if you can tell us this name when asking us for help.
- Server ID
All of our servers are given a unique ID number. This is the ID number of your server. When asking us for assistance, if you can tell us the machine name AND ServerID of your server, it will help us find your server that much faster.
You may also need to use this number on occasions if you are attempting to run config files via rcon. This is due to the way we store your config files on the machine. An example of this for CS/CS:S clanserver admins would be: exec ServerID/match.cfg (Where ServerID is replaced by the actual number)
- Game Type
Displays which game type is currently selected.
- Ping
This is the current ping reported from your server. If you are having high pings to your server when playing, but this says differently, it is almost certainly because of your connection/ISP.
- Players
Shows current number of players against maximum number of players for your server.
- Show settings
Click this to expand to show the key settings for the server. (see figure below for example).
This feature shows varied information depending on the game being played, and is all derived from a query of the server itself.

- Map
Displays the name of the current map running on the server. If we have a picture, it is displayed above the name. If we don't, a default picture is shown instead.
